The reinforced shaft increases needle stability. This helps to reduce needle deflection, providing absolute precision in needle penetration. The new hollow groove design with a hollow groove phase improves the hold on the loop, reducing the number of wrongly positioned needle penetrations and cutting the number of needle breakages. It also reduces the load on the gripper. The additional designation SAN® represents a special kind of needle geometry. The optimised geometry between the eye and the groove also improves the hold on the loop and reduces the number of wrongly positioned needle penetrations even further. The enlarged ear enables embroidery threads with a rough or structured surface (such as metallic threads) to glide through more easily. The titanium nitride coating (GEBEDUR®) provides the needle with maximum protection from wear and ensures a long life.
